The More the Challenge in RC Devices, the Bigger the Rewards
You will agree with me that some of the most pleasurable moments in life come about when you are completely bored and insane of whatever you’ve have been doing, and then there’s this feeling that a day out will work miracles in getting you motivated. Usually, the passionate events that you consider participating in that day normally have a rebound effect of getting you back into track.
One such event was attending the Alcester Helicopter Scale fun Fly in 2009. Years have gone and you may wonder will I hold this day with esteem. For any RC chopper avid fun, you may just consider the day as any other fun flying day that you may have attended but to me the day was special. Stay with me as I explain why.
Being a summer break and having been in school for long, all the while missing my lovely parent and friend, especially those that we had played with RC devices since my childhood, I knew that this was the best shot to get me back to my senses. I had missed home for a while during that first here at college.
Upon returning home for the summer holidays, I was greeted by a special surprise from my dad and had to go for almost 2 months on vacation in France. France is great, so are vacations, but they don’t mean the world. There are usually choices that you feel could have been better after such a long stay away from home and from my friends.
Like taking a long walk, something I love much with my childhood friends, as reminisce about old times and maybe talk about football, or even going camping together.
Why RC Helicopters are Not Just a Hobby
Therefore after the vacation, which I boring spent with my sister and my three cousins, I knew it was time to hook up with old buddies. When I learnt about the fun flying day, I didn’t have to think twice before registering for the event. Since I was a kid, I loved flying kites till I got my first RC heli – I was about 11 then- and it became a hobby, maybe the right words would be an obsession.
That October, during the day of the event, I was there early with full enthusiasm and up for the game. Being a lover of challenges, I decided not to use Micro Coaxial chopper but register for the competition with my friend’s Collective Pitch heli. That decision was influenced by a girl I had earlier met at the event and happened to be in the company of my childhood friends. She was amicable and very attractive- very tempting may be the right description. Later before the event commenced, I learnt that she was a pro with almost all types of RC helis and I felt the urge to take the challenge to show her that I was a no-nonsense either.
Re-design Yourself by Trying Something Daring
But it was a bad idea after all- not very bad; just stick with me. The single rotor collective pitch heli that I chose to compete with was very unstable and during the competition it was hovering all around and I was unable to control it no matter how hard I tried. I can recall jeers from the crowd as they laughed at the way I tried all my best, amid the sweating, tension and nervousness that gripped me all through, to sell myself.
The good thing is that I had my friends cheering me. At long last, I was positioned fourth and the beautiful maiden who I was eyeing was the first to admit that I did my best. The rest is history, but if you’d love to know, she’s got married to me four years later and we are one happy family.
